In his speech to the national tourism meetings that took place Monday, October 18 in Paris, Secretary of State for Tourism Herve Novelli expressed concern about the difficulties faced by the hotels for the latest fire safety standards in 2011 and accessibility in 2015.

Secretary of State for Tourism wished to recall that he had fired in August an inter-ministerial debate on the issue of upgrading. Without a consensus, and facing the deadline gets closer to that big step, he asked "arbitration by the Prime Minister to at least combine the different deadlines deadlines imposed on the profession, arbitration up to clarify and review standards. Insisting that if nothing is done to soften and harmonize the dates of the various standards required, they are no less than 3000 independent schools which are threatened with extinction.

Today, like every day I paid a visit to the flagship site of the hotel and catering, and I could find that article, which can not teach you anything, but you certainly remember many things.
I found this article very interesting for two reasons: it reminds us of the concern of Mr. Novelli, Secretary of State for Tourism, and in a second step we wish to inform the latter to seek arbitration by the Prime Minister, based on the fact that these new standards could sign off of operating three thousand independent schools.
This initiative could save a lot of people, because in addition to stop their activity, the hotel can not cope with these new standards could not even sell their businesses (which is more or less sleep and already the cases).
I must confess myself as a point of view financial, direct or indirect, this new regulatory concerns me greatly. In fact my school is subject to a huge share of these new standards, and I may have to make several tens of thousands of euros of renovation work to continue to work without the safety commission put a notice impair their balance sheet at their next visit, tentatively scheduled for 2013. A name a bit long but that does mean what it means: this gentleman is a very professional SSI coordinator that manages all work related to fire safety, with the menu: a study of the establishment, complete audit the hotel proposal works with the creation of records pertaining to the safety commission, then follow-up. A real program that takes into account A to Z.
We'll see what all this but give this man assured me it was not possible to compartmentalize the stairs offering to the safety commission compensatory measures such as smoke detector in every room, or lock created.

Anyway I can sleep and already anticipate what I will do in the coming months: Change Fire Safety System. It is a priority, and must not forget that safety comes first!
